Great article, but disappointing there was no link to video of Lorenzo in medieval armour allowing students of both sexes to use wooden weapons to try and beat him up. :D

Nice essay. Recent post from Heather https://naturalselections.substack.com/p/whatdogirlsdo/. She does point out she has always been liberal.

Perhaps missing in today's M-> F trans issues is the rising number of quite effete males and the general decline of testosterone in males over time. I suspect these males may find difficulty in finding females that respect them and they then turn to males. Some can't admit to being attracted to males, others develop a rejection response and try to fit it but now as female where females will tolerate them. The latter group seeks acceptance by society at large to be treated a female and along with a minority of F -> M trans become the vocal invasion of the LBG community who have now been granted some status in society.

The Lia Thomas' types do seem to capitalize on the current attempt at the trans community for acceptance to excel in sports. For M -> F trans I have sympathy as they attempt to pass and really don't care which bathroom they use; if they appear and act female leave them alone. That doesn't apply to minors in the puberty years where one's new found sexual concerns need time to season and temper. I fear for the girls in those tender years as cliques form and some are excluded by the mean ones because they are a bit different. Many of those sensitive girls then try for social acceptance by declaring they are trans. That would be fine if the hormones and surgeries are skipped. Boys and girls can dress as they wish, in accordance with their parents but going for hormones seems abusive for decision that may be regretted later

While writing women out the social script is a concern, I remain more concerned by efforts to write objective reality out of politics, medicine, and sports. “Lived experience” does not replace reality.

You should edit the title by the way. The parentheses should be around the word inconvenient, not and achievements. FYI
